The tranquil canals and the romantic pond Feenteich would not exist without the courageous commitment of three Hamburg merchants in the 19th century. Our tour of Uhlenhorst back in the 19th century up to the present takes us along the Au\u00dfenalster to one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Hamburg. Did you know that the Uhlenhorst was the site of Germany's first international tennis tournament in the 19th century? A Hamburg merchant has left his mark on the seasonal matches to this day.<\/p>\n<p>Hamburg's orphanage was located just a stone's throw away. Two Hamburg merchants campaigned for the construction and preservation of the former orphanage.<\/p>\n<h2>On a tour through the cultural life of Uhlenhorst<\/h2>\n<p>During our guided tour of Uhlenhorst, I will show you the place where Hamburg's society met for decades. The building no longer exists, but the trees in the park still date from its time.<\/p>\n<p>We pass by Germany's largest private drama theatre and take a look at the University of Fine Arts located here.
